Skip is a retired house painter. He and his wife have a home in the Adirondacks, and a small art studio in the garage for painting with watercolors, acrylics, and oils. The ADK scenery is stunningly beautiful, and lends itself particularly well to watercolors, but Skip also enjoys doing portraits of pets and children, and drawing a variety of subjects. The connection between the Adirondacks and his childhood years in northern New Jersey, when it was still considered a rural area, can be found in his recently published memoir, 30 Stories and A Little Adventure
, in which he weaves a number of tales into a pattern of memories about the innocence of growing up in earlier times, and later life.
